Job Description

Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge for you. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people towards new and less risky ways of living. As a Night Treatment Assistant, you will ensure that the routines on the ward function as intended. You will contribute to maintaining security at the institution according to our procedures. Together with other treatment staff, you will help create a safe and developmental environment with clear structure and predictability, instilling trust and being clear in your adult role. Your duties as a Treatment Assistant include documenting the young people's development and performing other tasks assigned to the awake night shift.

Scheduled working hours: Awake night shift, 89% employment rate, including weekend duty.

As a temporary employee, you will undergo an adapted introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing transformation. To succeed in your work, you must have a fundamentally positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are confident in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with young people as well as with the rest of the staff. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts in a constructive manner.

You must also have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or a university education that we consider equivalent
• Class B driver's license
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work within psychiatry or LSS care
• Experience from client-facing positions at the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., as a Prison Officer
• Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, young girls, etc.)

*Exceptions to the requirement of at least a two-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

Employment:

The position is a temporary assignment over the summer, at 89%, with a start date to be agreed upon.
